Elcometer is committed to reducing its impact on the environment, including product manufacture, packaging, catalogue production and our waste management. All our products are lead and mercury free and, where required, CE and RoHS compliant.
As an ISO 9001 registered company since May 1994, Elcometer not only prides itself in providing high quality products and services, but also understands the need for product certification and re-certification. The ability to demonstrate instrument, standard and test equipment compliance with BS, EN, ISO and NIST standards, is essential.

Environmental Policy
Protection of our environment is an integral part of Elcometer’s activities. We take a responsible approach to environmental management throughout our Company, with our Board of Directors being responsible for our environmental performance.
We are committed to the achievement of the expectations of our customers and stakeholders through the alignment of our environmental objectives to our programme of continuous improvement in order to reduce our total impact on the environment.

Certificate Policy
Elcometer offers certification using equipment that is certified by UKAS laboratories and NIST standards where applicable.
Certificates of Conformance are automatically supplied with all shipments, free of charge, indicating that the instrument is working correctly and have been checked in accordance to Elcometer Procedures and verified as being compliant with the terms of our ISO 9001 registration.
Re-certification
Under ISO 9001 certification, accredited companies must identify in their procedures the frequency of re-certification of all test equipment. Elcometer offer all customers a full re-certification and re-calibration service upon request.
How often should I re-certify Elcometer Gauges?
The simple answer to this question is whenever your ISO procedures state. Elcometer, however, suggest as a guide, that on normal usage, gauges should be re-certified every 12 months.
